Support the restart

Veterans returning from war-torn countries and the LGBTQ+ community fleeing Ukraine are both on a long and difficult journey to find peace and safety.

Wounds of War: Physical and Mental Injuries

The effects of a war cannot simply be forgotten. Veterans often return home physically and mentally broken, and a long recovery process awaits them. With your support, we can help them find their way back into society, to their families and to themselves.

The conflict in Ukraine has been taking its toll since 2014, wounding families and communities. War not only causes physical injuries, but also leaves deep wounds in the souls of the participants and their loved ones. Returning soldiers who risked their lives for their country face new challenges. Due to post traumatic stress and physical disabilities, many of them need expert support to be able to process the horrors they experienced.

Together for a New Beginning

Rehabilitation and mental support are essential for the returning soldiers. With the arrival of peace, a new struggle begins for them processing the traumas, starting their lives anew.

State aid often turns out to be insufficient, and the costs of rehabilitation are a huge burden in a war torn country. With our donations, we ensure that those veterans who fought for their country receive the necessary therapeutic support and a chance to recover.

With donations, we not only support the mental health of soldiers, but also give new hope to their entire families. All support helps returnees to restart their lives and find their way back to their communities in the long term. Our common mission is not to leave them alone with the burden of starting over, whether it's psychological help or temporary financial support.

Even the biggest ocean begins with drops – be one of them!

They are also excluded among the homeless.

Civilians also have to flee during war, but members of the LGBTQ+ community often find themselves in a particularly vulnerable situation. They also faced discrimination at home, so they do not easily find safety and acceptance even by leaving their country

Even among war refugees, they are often left alone, vulnerable and have nowhere to turn. We believe that everyone has the right to support and safety, no matter where they come from or who they live their lives as.

Integration is often even more difficult for LGBTQ+ refugees because they are trying to start a new life in a country whose customs and language are unknown to them. They arrive single or with a partner, yet they feel alone and need a community that provides security, where they can find understanding. They may require special attention during the asylum process, as they desire security and expert support even more because of the wounds of past discrimination and persecution.

New Community, New Home

Starting a new life in a foreign land comes with a lot of challenges, administration, looking for an apartment, finding a job, all of them are burdensome.

At our LGBTQ+ meetings, we build a community where these people can find each other and help each other through the trials of everyday life. Your donation can help us organize more community events and provide a place for everyone to feel free and safe.
